New York Changing
I was looking aroud The Morning News, referred to me by Megan's blog, when I found a very cool photo gallery:
New York Changing
Douglas Levere replicated a series of Bernice Abbott's photographs of New York City in 1938 almost sixty years later in 1997. I thought the obvious changes in architecture were really interesting, but you can also see how fashion, advertising, population density, etc., etc., etc. have changed.
I was also really impressed with how accurate the pictures are: the angles and distances seem right on. I love that Levere took this picture at the same time as Abbott.

Those photos of New York are great! I like the ones where some of the buildings are the same, but there's a huge new one in the background / foreground.
